Shine A Light is the theme of our Beacons of New Hope campaign this year.
We chose this theme because in the work that we do, we shine a light on the path out of homelessness for our homeless friends so they can see there’s hope ahead!
We want to share more about what we’ve been doing with you, and invite you to shine your light with us. Together, we can make this path brighter, so more can find their way home.
Beacons of New Hope is an annual fundraising campaign by New Hope CS. Through this initiative, we aim to raise funds for our work as well as advocate for the homeless community by raising awareness, clarifying misconceptions, and giving our beneficiaries a voice to share their stories.
The peer-to-peer fundraising model gives everyone the opportunity to be a Beacon together with us as they rally support from within their own communities. But the heart of being a Beacon goes beyond fundraising. It’s about speaking out and standing up for those in need.
No matter your age or background, what you do or what you have, we believe that everyone can be a Beacon of New Hope for the displaced and disadvantaged. We can make the path brighter together.
It is a video series that will give you a first-hand look at the work of New Hope CS on the ground. Join our Senior Operations Executive, Jeremy, as he experiences (a little of) what it’s like to be someone passing through our shelter programmes and services. Discover how we put your money to work to get our beneficiaries on their journey home.
Journey: Home is made in conjunction with our Beacons of New Hope fundraising campaign, happening from 1 September to 31 December 2022. The theme for this year is Shine A Light, and we thought it would be a great idea to show our incredible supporters exactly how their money is changing lives here at New Hope CS. We can’t wait to show you more! You can help shine a light on homelessness in Singapore and transform lives by joining our Beacons of New Hope community.
Homelessness exists in Singapore. In spite of being one of the wealthiest countries in the world with all the outward forms of affluence, Singapore's invisible poor lurks as foreboding spirits in the night, presenting a disconcerting social issue.LEARN MORE ABOUT HOMELESSNESS
